Stuart Wright has entered into an exclusive contract with the Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering Faculty (MAE) of Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore to provide the regional Oil Industry with a "Drill String Component Failure Analysis" service.

 

Under the terms of the agreement, Stuart Wright will assemble a failure report to provide important background information, giving context to the study. This will combine photographs, operating loads at the time of failure, fluid type, drill-string and BHA details. We will then conduct a drill-string simulation resulting in a down-hole load analysis, and submit the details to our partners at NTU. With Stuart Wright providing project management and technical consultation services, the materials laboratory at NTU will examine the failed component, conducting all necessary tests and determine the likely cause of failure.
