Well Design (Level 1 to 4)

Our capabilities include maneuvering the life cycle of a Well Design from its Conceptual stage right through to Implementation. The process is intuitively broken down to 4 different stages or “Levels”.

Trajectory Modelling

For clients who require a review of their proposed well trajectory, Stuart Wright offers a comprehensive review service. Modelling your trajectory using industry leading software, we can modify your design according to your rig capabilities.

Casing Design

If verification of Casing Design is required by our clients, Stuart Wright offers an independent review and assessment service. Our findings will be presented in a comprehensive report with Long-Lead items for client procurement purposes.

Hydraulics and Drill String Mechanics

When the margins between pore pressure gradient and fracture gradient becomes critically tight, or when the limits of rig capability are reached, optimisation of the drill-string design, hole size selection, mud weight requirements and hydraulics plan can address these challenges.

Torque and Drag Modeling

Stuart Wright can identify potential operating limits and/or restrictions due to maximum Torque and Drag, and biaxial drill-string stresses. Based on this analysis, we can develop a set of recommendations formulated specifically to enhance your existing directional design.

Well Cost Estimating (Level 1 to 4)

Using in-house proprietary techniques, Stuart Wright is able to generate a budgetary time and cost estimation breakdown for clients who may have a design concept (Level 1) or a project at the feasibility study stage (Level 2).
