Aims

At the end of this course attendees should be able to:

 

  • have an understanding of basic Petroleum Reservoir Engineering concepts and fundamentals
  • be familiar with the purpose of completion and various types of completion
  • know the importance of managing risk and how to do so
  • have an overview on how to design a well
  • have an idea of conducting an offset well review
  • be able to prepare deterministic and probabilistic time and cost estimates
  • show an understanding of subsurface inputs for Well Design
  • be able to apply casing design theory to different scenarios
  • Compile and create a comprehensive drilling and completions programme
  • Show competency in Well Design Modeling programmes
