- have an understanding of the causes and consequences of sand production
- know the types of sand control available
- be familiar on how to prepare a well for completions
- understand the techniques of gravel placement
- be familiar with perforation prepack
- be familiar with the function of expandable sand screen
- be familiar with the function of open hole gravel pack
- understand the relationship between well productivity and formation damage
- be familiar with the completion equipment, material selection, production wellheads and subsea completions
- be familiar with completion packers and tubing
- understand Artificial Lift (ESP's and Gas Lift)
- understand (Bullet Gun, abrasive, TCP)
- understand Smart Completions (Internal Control Valves, PDHG)
