Aims

At the end of the course attendees should be able to:

 

  • have an understanding of the causes and consequences of sand production
  • know the types of sand control available
  • be familiar on how to prepare a well for completions
  • understand the techniques of gravel placement
  • be familiar with perforation prepack
  • be familiar with the function of expandable sand screen
  • be familiar with the function of open hole gravel pack
  • understand the relationship between well productivity and formation damage
  • be familiar with the completion equipment, material selection, production wellheads and subsea completions
  • be familiar with completion packers and tubing
  • understand Artificial Lift (ESP's and Gas Lift)
  • understand (Bullet Gun, abrasive, TCP)
  • understand Smart Completions (Internal Control Valves, PDHG)
