1. DECOMMISSIONING WELL P&A PLANNING PHASE

• Technical Studies - Using our proprietary wellbore monitoring software Right Time Barrier Condition (RTBC) we will create accurate as built wellbore diagrams with critical barrier integrity validation information captured through the generation of Daily Integrity Reports performed retrospectively. The Daily Integrity Reports will incorporate key information from the drilling, completions, production and intervention phases to accurately capture the condition of the well and any potential barrier risks that require consideration prior to commencing the well P&A

• Review and preparation of corporate abandonment manual - Review and/or preparation of corporate abandonment manual to ensure best industry abandonment practices are being applied with full compliance to regulatory body and operator specific requirements, where applicable

• Risk Assessment - Perform an independent risk assessment of the plug and abandonment (P&A) Well Programme against Corporate and/or Regulatory body decommissioning standards

• Well integrity risk assessment - Stuart Wright pioneered a proprietary well integrity risk assessment and investigation methodology in 2010 which allows us to capture the subsurface environment data, well architecture (as-built condition), and production historical data in a combined view – we call this WAiT©.  The WAiT© process gives an assessment of the well integrity condition by section i.e. tubing, A-B-C annuli, using production history and concludes with primary and secondary well barrier assessment for all components of the well architecture. Ultimately the WAiT© process identifies the most significant MAJOR HAZARD and TOP EVENT for a given well. The WAiT© process in essence correctly identifies the SIGNIFICANT MAJOR HAZARDS, and subsequent TOP EVENT (release of the hazard) for each accordingly.  SW’s WAiT© tool can be used as part of the planning for decomissioning phase, where SW will assess the WI condition of selected well types and recommended mitigation actions for future well abandonment operations based on best practice codes and standards (e.g. API-65 Part 2, API-90, NORSOK-D10, ISO 16350-2)) and with reference to the Client’s internal operating standards as part of an overall issues register.

2. WELL PLUG AND ABANDONMENT DESIGN PHASE

• Independent Well P&A design review - Provide a third party peer review of your well plug and abandonment design and, where necessary, provide recommendations to ensure the design meets regulatory and corporate decommissioning requirements

3. DECOMMISSIONING OPERATIONS PREPARATION PHASE

​

• Well decommissioning rig capability review - Perform a review of the Rig Capability for critical drilling and rig equipment compared against the anticipated loads for performing the Well Abandonment, thus identifying the capacity margin or deficit for each item

• Well abandonment rigless option analysis - Perform a rigless option analysis for well abandonment. The anaylsis will identify specific risks associated with the abandonment of field or well specific programmes to determine if rigless operations are feasible

4. WELL P&A EXECUTION PHASE

• Independent verification of barrier integrity during the well P&A execution phase - Using our proprietary wellbore monitoring software Right Time Barrier Condition (RTBC) we will create accurate as built wellbore diagrams with critical barrier integrity validation information captured through the generation of Daily Integrity Reports during the actual wells abandonment. The Daily Integrity Reports will be captured in a secured cloud database that tracks the progression of the abandonment from the perspective of ensuring the abandonment of well barriers are conducted in accordance to corporate or good abandonment practices.

• Well abandonment integrity reports - These Abandonment Integrity Reports can also be submitted to government regulators to fulfil the Operator's abandonment requirements as the duty holder

5. POST WELL P&A REVIEW PHASE

• Lessons learned - Participate in and contribute to After Action Reviews (AAR) and lessons learned from the well P&A
